"She can tell me to f*ck off all she wants. I don't have a relationship with her."
A lot has happened to TV's royal family since the season 11 finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians — and
the season 12 premiere did not disappoint. Along with addressing the
initial weirdness of Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian's relationship, as
well as where Kourtney stood on getting back together with Scott, the
premiere also showed a super intimate and huge falling out between Khloé
Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner.
Earlier this year, while promoting her now-canceled show Kocktails With Khloé,
the reality star did an interview with Howard Stern in which she
ended up delving into the fact that she "felt betrayed" by Caitlyn after
finding out that her "business people knew" about her transition before
her family. After the interview aired, Caitlyn inundated Khloé with
angry and aggressive text messages, allegedly criticizing her for even
talking about the transition in the first place. This prompted Khloé to
call Mama Kris in a rage.
"I said, 'You slaughtered my mother and you have the nerve to say, 'What happened to family sticking together?'" Khloé said to her mom.
"I said, 'You jumped that ship as soon as you did Diane Sawyer and
attacked my mom,' and instead, [she] tells me to 'get a life' and to
'shut up,' and I'm like, 'You shut up and you get a fucking life.'"
"Mom, can you handle this?," she continued. "She can tell me to fuck off all she wants. I don't have a relationship with her. I'm done."
Being
the expert momager she is, Mama Kris later called Caitlyn to try and
smooth things over — but at first, Caitlyn wouldn't hear any of it.
"She's
out there talking shit about me," Caitlyn told Kris over the phone. "I
don't want her talking about me, OK? You don't go on Howard Stern and
call me a liar ... Why is she even talking about it?"
In
return, Kris pointed out that Khloé isn't the only one to have said
less-than-favorable things about the family to the press, and that it
wasn't fair of her to get so pissed at Khloé.
"What do you think I said to you about Vanity Fair?,"
Kris responds. "You fucking say something nice or don't say anything at
all ... All you said was negative shit, so now you know how I feel!"
"This
is not intentional, you're making this so hard," she continued. "You
were her father. You were her dad since she was 5 years old. Give her a
break."
Everything ends
on a positive note, and Caitlyn eventually concedes that Kris is right.
In fact, the whole episode ends up being somewhat of an ode to Mama
Kris, and how the entire family owes basically everything to her. Of
course, the Kardashians aren't your average family — and luckily, Kris
is there to keep them together.
