'Cause she slays.
Queen B rules once again.
The singer's new release Lemonade has earned her sixth straight no. 1 one album on the Billboard 200. Beyoncé's latest effort, which dropped last weekend as part of an HBO short film event, makes her the first artist ever to top the chart with their first six albums.
Lemonade
sold 653,000 units, 485,000 of which were from pure album sales,
scoring the biggest week for an album in 2016 for units and sales. The
album was released as a TIDAL streaming exclusive, though it has also
been sold as a download from iTunes and other digital retailers. Beyoncé's sixth album has done well on both sides of the Atlantic too, Lemonade becoming her third U.K. no. 1, as well as achieving the second-fastest selling LP of the year. Elsewhere on the Billboard 200, Prince dominates the top 10 with five entries.
